Loretta read for a Bachelor of Media Studies at the University of Botswana in 2014 majoring in PR & Film. She gained 10+ years of experience in the media industry working in print, tv (production and on screen) and radio (content production and digital media marketing).
Her passion for healthy living lead her to running a successful non-communicable diseases campaign; Smart Chow. The purpose of the campaign was to encourage people to ditch unorthodox diets and eat well. It also promoted health check ups. Loretta also partnered with Metro clinic to come up with a wellness magazine, Metro Salutem and on general health education programs, free health checks opportunities as well as the #30for30 charity walk. She works closely with Y Care Charitable Trust as a digital media expert and support team member (volunteer).
She appears on Ntwakgolo as Dr Marumo, a weekly television series on BTV - HIV/AIDS, Substance abuse edutainment. Other television roles include Morwalela (Morwalela Botswana on YouTube), Pelokgale, several TVCs and recently a short film called 2064. With her former employer Gabz-FM, she was able to explore digital media platforms/alternative media to sell the radio station. She contributed significantly to making the 50 Change Makers conference/awards successful. Loretta currently runs a social media management company which specializes in content creation/marketing and social media graphics.
Loretta also runs an Art studio called The Art Lab, where she offers therapeutic art experiences to people of all ages, workshops, team building retreats and exhibitions.
